MyMech Origins
In the summer of 2025, Gwen's Jeep transmission gave out while I was driving to work. Worried about being late, I limped my car in and out of the emergency lane until it finally stopped altogether, so I left it in a parking lot and walked to work. The most annoying part about this experience was that I had picked my car up from a mechanic shop the day before, and my car was unsafe to drive.
After getting to work, I talked to my coworker about it, knowing she also had trouble getting her car fixed. She had taken it in when she was trying to save some money, and the shop she took it to neglected to refill her coolant after working on it. Her car was incredibly unsafe to be driving, and she didn't have a good tool to learn how to make herself safe.
MyMech is a tool for everyone, to keep everyone safer on the road.
